CLIO Legacy and Z39.50 Information
In order to address security and performance concerns, we have implemented the following access restrictions:
- CLIO Legacy catalog users: Access to CLIO Legacy now requires UNI authentication. We continue to strongly encourage all CLIO users to use our more complete and functional catalog at: http://clio.columbia.edu/catalog
EndNote users: If you search CLIO within EndNote from off campus, you will be required to run University-provided VPN (virtual private network) software. If your use of EndNote is impacted by this change, you may wish to consider one of our other recommended citation management resources.
Z39.50 users: Access to CLIO via the Z39.50 protocol is now restricted to on-campus use. For information about using Z39.50 to search CLIO, please see: https://library.columbia.edu/find/clio/classic-help/z3950.html
VPN information: For information about access to VPN services at your school or campus, please select from the following:
- Barnard College: https://barnard.edu/bcit/access/webvpn
- CUMC: https://secure.cumc.columbia.edu/cumcit/secure/howto/vpn/index.html
- Law School: http://web.law.columbia.edu/information-technology/faculty-staff/how-do-i-access-law-school-network-remotely
