COLUMBIA ONLINE RESEARCH GUIDE FOR MODERN TIBETAN STUDIES

This guide began as an extensive syllabus compiled by Professor Gray Tuttle for his “Sources for Modern Tibetan History” seminar.  It is exceptionally strong in its survey of resources for historical research.  For more information and to learn how to contribute bibliographies for inclusion in this guide, please see the About This Guide page.  Feel free to contact the Tibetan Studies Librarian with questions or suggestions, or to report broken links.

All call numbers refer to holdings in the C.V. Starr East Asian Library, unless otherwise noted. For many titles, direct links are provided to the bibliographic record in CLIO, the online library catalog of Columbia University. For titles not available at Columbia, please consult WorldCat to determine if the item is held at another institution and request it through Borrow Direct or Interlibrary Loan.
