I am a student at a university in another state, and will be visiting New York next month. May I use Columbia's libraries during my visit?
Question:
Answer:
If your university or institution is a member of SHARES, you will be granted reading privileges, but not borrowing privileges.
- If the college or university you attend is a member of SHARES, you will be provided with a reader’s card valid for one semester. These cards must be renewed each semester.
- If the college or university you attend is not a member of SHARES, you must pay for reading privileges.
Please bring your college or university photo ID and a government issued photo ID to the Library Information Office.
In addition, you may purchase borrowing privileges.
