What happens if an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) item becomes overdue?

Question:

What happens if an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) item becomes overdue?

Answer:

Every effort should be made to return borrowed materials on or before the due date, as your borrowing privileges may be suspended until the overdue material is returned and replacement charges may be applied to your library account. In addition, overdue materials jeopardize Columbia's ability to borrow resources from other libraries.

Note: You are held responsible for any fines/fees Columbia is charged as the result of lost, damaged, or overdue ILL materials. These fines will be charged to your Columbia library account.
