Question:

I am affiliated with Jewish Theological Seminary. What privileges do I have at Columbia University Libraries?

Answer:

Yes. JTS students, faculty, and staff (including rabbinical and cantorial students) with a Columbia University ID have library access and four-week borrowing privileges at Columbia University Libraries. To get a Columbia University ID card, bring a valid JTS ID card and a government-issued ID to the Library Information Office in 201 Butler Library. There is a $20 fee for the card.

Borrowing privileges for Teachers College Gottesmann Library are limited only to JTS students enrolled in classes at Teachers College.

Access to licensed electronic resources is limited to a networked computer within the Libraries.

Other services, such as Interlibrary Loan, Borrow Direct, and Scan & Deliver Electronic Document Delivery are not available.
