Can I make copies from microforms in the Periodicals & Microforms Reading Room?

Question:

Can I make copies from microforms in the Periodicals & Microforms Reading Room?

Answer:

Microfilm and Microfiche Copies

There are 6 microform readers with printers available for use. Copies are free of charge and print on letter-sized paper.

If you prefer to go paperless, you can also use the microform reader to scan and download the images to a CD, DVD, or flash drive.

If you wish to duplicate an entire microfilm reel, contact the Preservation Reformatting Department for more information.

Microcard and Microprint Copies

Yes, there is a screen scan unit in the Periodicals & Microforms Reading Room which will make copies from these older formats of microforms. The print quality is uneven, but patrons can get free copies when they use this machine.
