What is the Bloomberg database? Where can I get access?

Question:

What is the Bloomberg database? Where can I get access?

Answer:

Bloomberg is an online database providing current and historical financial quotes, business newswires, and descriptive information, research and statistics on over 52,000 companies worldwide.

You can only access the Bloomberg database at dedicated terminals onsite in the Business and Economics Library. Printing is available from networked Ninja printers. Downloading is not available. You may reserve time on a Bloomberg workstation by using the signup notebook located on the service counter near the printer for slots of ½ hour each.

For search help, see the Bloomberg Help Guide.

The Business and Economics Library offers Introductions to Bloomberg. These sessions will teach the basic navigation and searching skills necessary to begin using Bloomberg.
