The 1997 Census of Construction Industries was issued in three publication series: Industry, Subject, and Geographic Area. Detailed holdings are described below, with links to the web versions. The Business Library has acquired print versions of selected volumes only.

The construction sector is divided into three types of activity or subsectors. The subsectors are: Building, Developing, and General Contracting, Heavy Construction, and Special Trade Contractors.
