About the DSSC
The Digital Social Science Center (DSSC) located in Lehman Library provides a wide range of information and technology assistance for students and faculty. DSSC brings together people, equipment, and information resources in an environment where users can work collaboratively, individually, or in consultation with a librarian and/or technology specialist.
Many specialized services are available, including the following:
- Meet with subject specialist librarians; librarians and staff trained to assist users with numeric and spatial data resources; and staff who can assist with software and equipment used to access and manipulate information.
- Workstations with 30 inch monitors located in spaces designed for collaborative study and research. Scanners and printers are also available.
- Group study spaces with monitors designed to accommodate laptop plug-ins.
- Presentation practice rooms where students can assemble and practice individual or group presentations.
The DSSC is a joint project of the Libraries and CUIT, and includes a CUIT lab which provides individual workstations.
