Charles R. Crane: launch of the electronic memoirs

Please join Bakhmeteff Archive to celebrate the launch of the electronic memoirs of one of the most generous and enigmatic American philanthropists of the 20th century, Charles R. Crane (1858-1939).
The talk will coincide with the opening of the exhibition of new additions to the Charles R. Crane Papers held at the Rare Book and Manuscript Library.


  • Thomas S. Crane, a member of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. specializing in health law;
  • John K. Notz, Jr., independent scholar located in Chicago, IL, and Lake Geneva, WI;
  • Norman Saul, professor emeritus of History and Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies.
