Jonathan Cole, John Mitchell Mason Professor of the University and Provost and Dean of the Faculties, Emeritus at Columbia University, will address topics from his new publication, The Great American University: Its Rise To Preeminence, Its Indispensable National Role, Why It Must Be Protected on February 24, 2010 at 6:00 pm. The event will take place at the Kellogg Center, 1501 International Affairs Building, 420 West 118th Street and is free and open to the public.
Jonathan R. Cole is currently John Mitchell Mason Professor of the University and Provost and Dean of Faculties, Emeritus at Columbia University. For fourteen years, from 1989 to 2003, he was Provost and Dean of Faculties of Columbia University - the second longest tenure as Provost in the University's 250-year history.
