Brian Mahan is past director of the Program in Religious Education at Candler School of Theology and a former member of the faculty of the Graduate Division of Religion at Emory University in Atlanta. Brian holds a doctorate from the University of Chicago and is the author of Forgetting Ourselves on Purpose: Vocation and the Ethics of Ambition (Jossey-Bass, 2002) and a coauthor of Awakening Youth Discipleship: Christian Resistance in a Consumer Culture (Cascade Books, 2008).
