Columbia Now Has Desk-top Access to The Chronicle of Higher Education
COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY LIBRARIES, March 11, 2002 - Columbia University was selected as one of only six institutions to which The Chronicle of Higher Education has granted a campus-wide site license during a one-year introductory period. The Chronicle is the academic world's top source of news and information.
Anyone at a computer on the Columbia network may access The Chronicle directly. Columbia users off-campus may also log in with their UNI through an internet service provider.
The full text of the current issue of The Chronicle will be available every Monday morning, following the Friday print publication. The current issue and the archive are both fully searchable. The site also features an archive of more than 12 years of The Chronicle.

The online version of the popular print journal, to which the Libraries already subscribe, features daily reports on developments in higher education, information technology, distance education, as well as regularly updated databases of grant opportunities and job announcements, and links to Internet resources for higher education.
