Columbia University Libraries Announces New Professional Appointments
NEW YORK, June 23, 2010 –

The Columbia University Libraries/Information Services announces the following recent professional staff appointments:


Nicole Bufanio is the Communications Coordinator for the Center for Digital Research and Scholarship, previously serving as Administrative Coordinator at the National Organization of Italian American Women.

Michelle Chesner is the Librarian for Jewish Studies, previously at the University of Pennsylvania as the Judaica Public Services Librarian in the Katz Center for Advance Judaic Studies.

Jackson Harvell is Web Developer in the Center for Digital Research and Scholarship, previously working as a web developer consultant.

Carla Mezic has joined the Human Resources Department, previously as a Paralegal for Employment Law at Proskauer Rose, LLP.

Matthew Pavlik is the Head of Monograph Acquisitions Services, having served most recently as the acting head of the unit.

Columbia University Libraries/Information Services is one of the top five academic research library systems in North America. The collections include over 10 million volumes, over 100,000 journals and serials, as well as extensive electronic resources, manuscripts, rare books, microforms, maps, graphic and audio-visual materials.
