The volume features introductory surveys which provide the historical context of costume design to dance, theatre, and film. Descriptive essays discuss the remarkable collections and the range of materials available for research as well as issues related to research, preservation, digitization, and access. The volume also includes a 16-page color insert of costume renderings.
