The first student-run journal of its kind, Consilience aims to foster dialogue among academics and practitioners, and features articles by students, professors, and researchers around the world. Created in 2007, Consilience publishes scholarly articles, field notes, opinion pieces, and photo essays that promote interdisciplinary dialogue on sustainable development. Its content is freely accessible under a Creative Commons license. Consilience is edited and managed by a board of undergraduate and graduate students.
"Our board is excited and proud to continue the dialogue that Consilience started three years ago," said Monica Varman, editor-in-chief. "We hope to expand the media through which this dialogue takes place, using video, blog posts, and more dynamic content."
