Columbia University Libraries/Information Services Announces Recent Staff Appointments


NEW YORK, January 18, 2013 –

Columbia University Libraries/Information Services announces the following recent professional staff appointments:


Hayrunnisa Bakkalbasi is the new Assessment Coordinator. She was previously the Director of Planning and Assessment at James Madison University.

Alexander Gil Fuentes is the new Digital Scholarship Coordinator for the Humanities and History Libraries. He earned a Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from the University of Virginia. 

Adrien Hilton is the new Processing Archivist for the Rare Book and Manuscript Library.  She was previously the Project Manager and Archivist for the Tamiment Library at New York University.

Ashley Jester is the new Data Services Coordinator for Social Sciences.  She earned a Ph.D. in Political Science from Stanford University.

Peter Magierski is the Middle East and Islamic Studies Librarian.  He was previously the Librarian for Middle East Studies at New York University.

Leonardo Stezano is the Durst Project Manager at the Avery Library. He was previously the Manager of Product Management at Herae LLC.
