Columbia University Libraries/Information Services Announces Professional Staff Appointments
NEW YORK, October 24, 2014 –

Columbia University Libraries/Information Services announces the following recent professional staff appointments:


Tara Das is the Government Information Librarian at the Lehman Social Sciences Library.  She was previously Director of the Registrar’s Office in the Bureau of Vital Statistics for the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. 

Christina Harlow is a Library Operations Specialist in Original and Special Materials Cataloging.  She was previously Bibliographic Assistant VII in OSMC.

Chubing Hong is the Research Support and Data Services Librarian at the Business and Economics Library.  She was previously the Digital Projects and Research Assistant at the Hospitality, Labor, and Management Library at Cornell University.

Alice Izumo is a Reference Librarian at the Arthur W. Diamond Law Library.  She was previously a Reference Assistant at the Law Library, and received her M.L.S. from St. John’s University in June 2014. 

Chisato Jimura is the Japanese Project Cataloger for the Makino Collection at the C.V. Starr East Asian Library.  She was previously the Cataloging Librarian at the Geophysical Institute and International Arctic Research Center Library at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Andre Laboy is an Educational Technologist II at the Columbia Center for New Media Teaching and Learning.  He was previously a Product Manager at The Run SMART Project.

John Lussier is the Manager of Desktop Systems at the Library Information Technology Office.  He was previously the Manager of Desktop and Classroom Engineering at CUIT.

Miki Masuda is the Project Archivist of the Makino Collection at the C.V. Starr East Asian Library.  She received her M.S.L.S. from Queens College CUNY in 2012.

Marian Mosley is a Programmer at the Library Information Technology Office.  She was previously an Independent Software Developer for Agile Ventures.

Megan O’Neill is a Junior Web Developer at the Center for Digital Research and Scholarship.  She received her B.A. in History from the College of New Jersey in 2013, and completed the Full Stack Developer program at General Assembly.

Tony Pulickal is the Senior Systems Engineer at the Library Information Technology Office.  He was previously a Systems Engineer in LITO.

Sean Quimby is the Director of the Rare Book and Manuscript Library.  He was previously the Senior Director of Special Collections at Syracuse University Library.
