1997 Census of Construction Industries

The 1997 Census of Construction Industries was issued in three publication series: Industry, Subject, and Geographic Area. Detailed holdings are described below, with links to the web versions. The Business Library has acquired print versions of selected volumes only.

  • Industry Series. 28 parts.
    The reports include new construction work, additions, alterations, and repairs. Establishments identified as construction management firms are also included. The construction sector is divided into three types of activity or subsectors. The subsectors are: Building, Developing, and General Contracting, Heavy Construction, and Special Trade Contractors.
  • Subject Series. 2 parts.
  • Geographic Area Series. 52 parts.
    One report for each state, the District of Columbia, and a geographic area summary.
