Madeleine Fix-Hansen has been working on a project-based initiative to develop multimedia projects and technological infrastructure support for the Columbia University Libraries. In Multimedia for Libraries she will present ways in which libraries are using multimedia (video, audio and interactive technology) for communication and learning initiatives. Projects developed within the Columbia University Libraries will be discussed, focusing on software and resources available for project development within the Libraries. She will also show examples of multimedia initiatives by other academic libraries. Discussion will touch on development process variables such as technological tools and resources needed to create projects.
