Circulation Activity Types

This section supplements the Circulation section of the ReCAP Data Center.  It provides more infomation to help interpret the sets of summarized circulation data.

There are five principle types of circulation activity: CHARGES, DISCHARGES, RENEWALS, RECALLS and HOLDS.

  • Circ activity is summarized is two ways: ALL and ACTIVE
  • ALL means transactions initiated in given month that are still active plus transactions initiated in given month that are inactive.
  • ACTIVE means transactions initiated in current month that are still active (ACTIVE is a subset of ALL).
  • DISCHARGES have only one category because transaction happens at single point in time.

ACTIVE CHARGES
Charges initiated that are active.
DISCHARGES Discharges from Voyager.
ALL RENEWALS
Renewals initiated that are active or inactive.
ACTIVE RENEWALS
Renewals initiated that are active.
ALL RECALLS
Recalls initiated that are active or inactive.
ACTIVE RECALLS
Recalls initiated that are active.
ALL HOLDS Holds initiated that are active or inactive.
ACTIVE HOLDS Holds initiated that are active.
