This paper describes the collection, digitization, cataloging, and indexing of the USC Shoah Foundation Institute's collection of 52,000 testimonies of survivors and other eyewitnesses to the Holocaust. The presentation will include a demonstration of the Institute's digital library system and will suggest, as well, how the methods and technologies developed at the Institute can be applied to other examples of genocide and human rights abuses in the contemporary world.
