Get Articles and Books

Course Reserves
Electronic readings for your courses will be placed on e-reserves when available. They can be accessed through CourseWorks.

Use CLIO to search for books, articles, databases, eJournals, and eBooks.

Columbia provides access to over 2 million eBooks. You can limit your CLIO searches to eBooks to find materials you can access immediately.

Scan & Deliver: Electronic Document Delivery
Place requests for scans of articles and books from our print books and journals.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Place requests for PDFs of articles and book chapters not available from Columbia Libraries. PDFs are sent by email. 

On-Site Borrowing at Select Libraries
As part of the BorrowDirect Plus program, Columbia affiliates have on-site borrowing privileges at member libraries. 

Google Scholar
Update your settings in Google Scholar to read articles that are available through Columbia Libraries. 
Go to Google Scholar -> Settings -> Library links -> Search for Columbia University and add it to your Library links.

Recommend an eBook for Purchase
If you find a book or other resource that is not in the Libraries collections, please recommend it for purchase.
