DSSC Workstation Use Policy
Seating at the workstations is for those
ACTIVELY USING the lab equipment.
A workstation is available if it is
logged off OR the screen is timed-out.
If an available machine is not logged off, log it off and sign in.
Note: unattended belongings do not reserve a workstation.
DSSC high-end stations are for :
groups of two or more
OR
individuals needing the following features:
- high capacity processing,
- large display space for your applications
- multiple windows open,
- scanning (where there are scanners)
CUIT lab machines are for:
- basic applications like: word processing, email, Internet access
- other applications that don't require high level graphics or processing
- basic applications like: word processing, email, Internet access
- other applications that don't require high level graphics or processing
Lower Level of the DSSC (room 215)
For use in walk-in or scheduled consultations and library workshops and training
Scheduling Applications with a Long Run Time
DSSC staff will try to accommodate those who have an application with a long running time. To arrange to run such an application you must contact the staff in the DSSC(by e-mail or during walk-in consultation hours) to schedule a time and location when such a job can run without external interruption.
