SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY AT THE RUBIN MUSEUM OF ART ON SATURDAY EVENING AND SUNDAY

The Rubin Museum of Art invites workshop participants to a guided tour of the new “Patron and Painter” exhibit (5:30 p.m.) and an opening reception (6:30 p.m.) on Saturday evening. This will be followed by the keynote address, given by Tashi Tsering (Amnye Machen Institute), for the related conference “Situ Panchen: Creation and Cultural Engagement in 18th Century Tibet.”

The event will continue on Sunday (9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.), featuring Rémi Chaix (CNRS, Paris), Nancy Lin (UC Berkeley), Karl Debreczeny (RMA), Jann Ronis (UVA), Frances Garrett (U Toronto), Kurtis Schaeffer (UVA), with David Jackson (RMA) and Elliot Sperling (Indiana U) as discussants.
