GLAM-Wikipedia initiatives (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums) have been growing in New York, with participants at the Frick Art Reference Library, NYPL, Queens Library, the Brooklyn Library, the Guggenheim, and the Center for Jewish History, and growth in the Wikipedia Education Program at CUNY Graduate Center, CUNY College of Staten Island, and Queens College.

In this talk, Dorothy Howard discusses her work to engage METRO member libraries and archives in Wikipedia editing projects and open image and data donations. Various strategies and aspects of institutional Wikipedia editing, Wikimedia Commons, WikiSource and other platforms will be discussed, as will Dorothy´s thoughts on the future of Wikipedia within New York institutions.
