The programme includes: "Urgent Safeguarding" and "Representative" lists. "According to the 2003 Convention, ICH consists of oral traditions and expressions, including language as a vehicle of the intangible cultural heritage; performing arts (such as traditional music, dance and theatre); social practices, rituals and festive events; knowledge and practices concerning nature and the universe; and, traditional craftsmanship."

Two separate web sites are currently maintained for this mission---completed in June 2017, one in French and the other in English. "...the Security Council set up, on 13 May 2003, a political mission - MINUCI - to facilitate the implementation by the Ivorian parties of an agreement signed by them (the Linas-Marcoussis Agreement) and to complement the operations of the peacekeeping force of the Economic Community of West African States and French troops. On 4 April 2004, MINUCI was replaced by a UN peacekeeping operation - the United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire (UNOCI/ONUCI)."
