The Tibetan Studies Collection of the C. V. Starr East Asian Library is one of the most extensive in the country, with nearly 15,000 volumes of Tibetan-language print materials (in traditional and modern formats), 13,000 electronic texts, some 100 different serial titles, and important archival materials. The Library also actively acquires Western and Chinese-language Tibetological materials in the humanities and social sciences. About the Tibetan Studies Collection

About the Collection

The Tibetan Studies Collection supports the Tibetan-related research of faculty, students and visting scholars in a range of departments and organizations, including but not limited to the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures, the Modern Tibetan Studies Program of the Weatherhead East Asian Institute, and the Department of Religion. Outreach and extra-campus service through Borrow Direct, ILL, MaRLI and other partnerships is also a priority.
