The Ditson Fund Recordings Archive

The Ditson Fund at Columbia University supports performances, publications, and recordings of works by younger or relatively unknown (living) American composers.  Works commissioned by the Fund represent a microcosm of the history of classical musical composition in the United States in the 20th century.

In 2006 the Columbia University Libraries received a generous award from The GRAMMY Foundation® Grants Program for preservation of the Ditson Fund Recordings Archive.   At the completion of the project, some 241 recordings containing 196 musical works had been preserved and made available for on-site use in Columbia's Music & Arts Library.

To listen to a recording, contact the Music & Arts Library by e-mail, phone (212-854-7604), or in person (Dodge Building, seventh floor).  Visit the Library's website for further information.
