Second Lieutenant Robert Everett Buchmann was a platoon leader in Company F, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division, U.S. Marines. He was leading his platoon in an assault on an enemy position in South Korea when he was killed by enemy fire, May 29, 1951.
