Finding E-books at Columbia University Libraries
Did you know that you can search over 2 million e-books through our online catalog, CLIO? CLIO includes both our licensed e-book collections as well as the many unique and rare volumes we have digitized from our own print collections. Follow the steps below to find individual e-books.

Find an e-book from the Libraries’ website
1. Type your search into the search box that appears in the upper right corner of the Libraries' Website pages and in the center of the homepage, as shown in the screenshot below. As you type, a drop down menu will automatically appear under the search box. Select e-books. When you have entered your search term, press Enter/Return or click the blue search button.
2. Click on an e-book title. On the right hand side of the screen, click the "Click here for full text" link in the Available from: box. This will direct you to the e-book.

2. Type your search into the main search bar. Press Enter/Return or click Search.
3. Click on an e-book title. On the right hand side of the screen, click the "Click here for full text" link in the Available from: box. This will direct you to the e-book.
E-Book Collections
o You can also view discipline specific e-book collections. On the left hand sidebar, click see more under the discipline heading. Then, select a discipline from the pop up box.
Downloading & Reading E-Books
At this point, not all e-book available through Columbia University Libraries are available for full download. In order to provide the best e-book services possible, we are in continual discussion with publishers to develop innovate solutions to e-book access challenges.
