Course Reserves
The course reserves service makes required readings, films, and other course material freely available for students through the Library. Physical course reserves are typically available for a few hours. Electronic course reserves are available at any time. Your class’s CourseWorks page has a direct link to its course reserves list.

Important Information About Course Reserves Requests
Submit course reserve requests at least four weeks before the first day of classes to guarantee availability by the date in which they are needed. Requests are processed in the order that they are received. While requests are accepted after the start of the semester, they may not be available by the time they are needed.
It is recommended to include all required course material in your course reserves request, regardless of library availability. If a requested citation is not available, it can be purchased.
- The Libraries prioritizes electronic format for course reserves. Physical format will be provided if no electronic version is available.
- In the event that a requested citation cannot be sourced, our librarians can help you find alternative resources, including Open Educational Resources.
