Stephen Richard Reynolds

Captain Stephen Richard Reynolds, United States Volunteers and Assistant Adjutant General, serving on the staff of General Isaac J. Wistar, was mortally wounded in one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War, the Battle of Cold Harbor, Virginia. On a single day, June 3, 1864, the day Captain Reynolds was wounded, more than 4,000 men died. Captain Reynolds died on July 30, 1864.
