Tributes

I own a book of Tennyson poetry that belonged to Lester Harris that I bought at an antique shop when I was teenager 26 years ago. I have always wondered who Lester Harris was, and felt a connection through that book. Tonight I finally researched Mr. Harris and learned who he was and what a great service he did for our country and the free world. I see that he died with no descendants, so I feel compelled to honor him and remember him. Thank you, Lester Potter Harris for laying down your life on the fields of France so many years ago. The girl who found your poetry book will always honor your great sacrifice.
