Fancher Nicol

Captain Fancher Nicol, in command of Company L of the 107th Infantry, U.S. Army, was killed in the second half of September 1918. He had served for 18 years and was noted for his selflessness. As he lay dying, he is reported to have reached out to comfort his wounded company clerk.
