Albert McClellan Barnes III

First Lieutenant Albert McClellan Barnes III, 51st Fighter Squadron, U.S. Army Air Forces, died in an airplane crash off the coast of Florida on May 5, 1944. He had served in the Galapagos and the Panama Canal Zone. His parents dedicated a memorial to him at Arlington National Cemetery.
Tributes
He was a cadet in the Knickerbocker Greys cadet corps in Manhattan. All honor to his name.
