Second Lieutenant Roger Esty Dounce, U.S. Army Air Forces, 320th Bomber Squadron, 90th Bomber Group, died of wounds on February 21, 1946. He is memorialized at Manila American Cemetery, Fort Bonifacio, Manila, Philippines. He received the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
