Philip George Unhoch

Lieutenant Philip George Unhoch, U.S. Navy, an aviator, was presumed to have been killed in a typhoon on Palau on November 7, 1944. He was posthumously awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for heroism for refusing rescue in order to remain in the water until all his crew were taken to safety.
