Renewing Borrowed Items
Most items borrowed from the Libraries may be renewed up to 10 times from the original check-out date unless
- another borrower has requested the item
- the item is needed for reserves
- the item is from the Butler Media collection
- your borrowing privileges have been suspended
Items borrowed from the Libraries can only be renewed within 30 days of the current due date.
Items requested via Borrow Direct display in capital letters. They may be renewed once, for an additional 6-week loan period. Regular overdue fines apply to items borrowed via Borrow Direct.
To renew an item from within CLIO:
- Click on My Account.
- Enter your UNI and password.
- You will see a check box next to each item you have checked out.
To renew a checked out item, click in the check box beside the item and then click the "Request Renewal" button at the top or bottom of the list. Check the box next to "Select All" if you want to request renewals for all checked out items.
If you are unable to renew an item, the due date may be more than 30 days away or the 10-renewal limit has been reached. To avoid fines and fees, please return these items promptly.
Items requested via Interlibrary Loan do not appear in My Account. Log in to the Interlibrary Loan system to see your outstanding requests. Interlibrary Loan items can be renewed at the discretion of the lending library.
