A Call Number (begins with) search will place you in the call number browsing index at the nearest match to the number you have entered. From there you can browse forward or back through the call numbers and select an individual item by clicking on the call number. 

You can save, e-mail, or print information about the records displayed on each screen.

This search works best with Library of Congress call numbers. 

Use a Call Number Exact search for the following:

• Dewey Decimal call numbers.
• Local call number systems (such as that used by the Avery Library).
• Superintendent of Documents (SuDoc) numbers used for U.S. government documents.
• Microform call numbers.
